JAKTOOL was engaged to develop and prototype a fixture that would allow for accurate and repeatable articulation of a test article at discrete intervals. The fixture will be used to position sensitive aerospace equipment in a static test chamber.
Fixture Design & Electro-Mechanical Development
- Designed and manufactured an electro-mechanical system capable of lifting the required loads
- Utilized a robust PLC control system to ensure reliable performance
- Implemented safety interlocks to ensure the safety of the user and the fixture
- Completed rigorous testing with simulated test mass to verify the longevity of the mechanical and electrical systems
Result:
JAKTOOL successfully developed and manufactured a complete electromechanical solution controlled through a handheld device. The fixture can lift required loads with the press of a button allowing the client to change test positions saving time effortlessly and rapidly during testing.
